The Craft
Honest craft
Plenty of shops sell 'hand-painted' portraits that were never touched by a hand. We would rather tell you exactly how your piece is made, because how it is made is the reason it lasts.
01
Created digitally, and we say so
Personalized pieces are created digitally. On The Church Portrait, the church is painted digitally from your photo. On In His Keeping, the artwork is a quiet garden scene, created digitally. The Family Verse is set entirely in type. On every personalized piece, we set the words in type, so they print exactly as you entered them, and the proof comes to you first: nothing prints until you approve it. Ready-made pieces are printed from finished artwork.
02
Printed like art, because it is art
400 gsm canvas or 200 gsm fine-art paper, printed in the USA and made to order for one person. Nothing goes to press before you approve it.
03
Built to hang and to stay
Canvas is stretched over 38 mm kiln-dried bars, and the framed formats sit in a frame in the color you choose: natural wood, black or white. A framed print arrives ready to hang with the hardware fitted; gallery canvas and framed canvas do not include hanging hardware, so use your own hook. Everything is packed to survive the trip. If anything arrives less than right, The Kept Promise covers it: 60 days, reprint or refund, no interrogation.
04
What we will not do
We will not print photorealistic images of Jesus. We will not alter scripture. We will not call digital work hand-painted. And we will not print a personalized piece before you have seen it and approved it.
